K-pop Blackpink - Straits Times Review - A Humorous Look at K-Pop

"K-pop Blackpink" is the latest release from K-pop sensation Jeong Hee. It features several members of K-pop's biggest girl band, including Lee Seung Ho, Jisoo, Kim Young Ja, and Park Hae Ran. This girl group from Korea is now becoming a name that U.S. fans are beginning to recognize. With several successful singles and several videos topping the charts, "K-pop Blackpink" is sure to be one of the top K-pop albums this year.

K-pop

"K-pop Blackpink" is divided into three parts. Part One is about an arranged marriage between Kim Tae Hee, a boy in a conservative family, and Park Hae Ran, a girl who has been adopted by a rich family. Part Two chronicles the rise of the girl's musical talents and how she falls in love with a young boy from the wrong side of the tracks. The last part focuses on the relationship between Park Hae Ran and Jeong Hee, which blossoms into a romantic love affair. These are the stories of the girl and boy in the group, and it shows the true colors of K-pop.

I really liked how the singer, Jeong Hee, was portrayed as a very loving and submissive character. In one scene, he begs to be taken home by his birth mom because she would leave him if she finds out that he is a K-pop star. Throughout the movie, he shows a deep fear and resentment for his biological family, but he seems to have a soft heart. There is also a beautiful scene when he is rehearsing with the other members of his group and he is wearing the same red and pink outfit that he wears on Sesame Street.

The lead character, Park Hae, also has a lot of depth. Although The Straits Times starts off as a superstar who plays a rock guitar and sings, he becomes something more. The movie depicts how he deals with rejection and fights to be accepted by his group. Fushigi also portrays Park Hae's love of Asian culture and traditions. When he gets home with Fushigi, he is so excited about learning new things about the group and his heritage that he wants to be like Fushigi.

A few of the supporting characters are shown to be loners, which can be seen in various ways throughout the series. One of these is Hyung Sik. This boy is seen to be shy and he tries to hide that fact from Park Hae. Later on, he apologizes to Park Hae for not telling him the truth about how he fell in love with Park Hae.

Finally, the lead character, Fushigi, acts as the representative of the group. Unlike the other members, he is depicted as a very quiet person, which can be seen when he sits next to Park Hae in a cafe. It is his way of trying to act normal and be accepted by others. The theme of acceptance runs throughout the entire series, as each of the members of this girl group learns to deal with their fame and how to move forward with it.
